The Tumbleweed Kid: The Lone Ranger meets CthulhuLPC en cthulhu | Marzo 16, 2007
Shortly after finishing Red Hands, I was offered the chance to draw a weekly strip for the website Coconino World. I was enthusiastic at the prospect of doing an online comic strip, but didn’t really have a clear idea as to what I wanted to do… so I started brainstorming and filling up pages in my sketchbook. After looking back at those sketchbook pages, I noticed that there were a lot of H.P. Lovecraft horror parodies, as well as a recurring cowboy character, this scrawny gunfighter kid with freckles. I decided to mix the two ideas together and do a “Lovecraftian western” of sorts, kind of like “The Lone Ranger meets Cthulhu”.
So anyway… that’s how The Tumbleweed Kid was born. I would draw and send the pages to the Coconino World studios and Pat Cab would color them with Photoshop. For those of you who don’t read French, I apologize, but if you have a French-English dictionary handy, the story should be pretty easy to follow. After all, it’s not exactly literature…
Con ustedes, The Tumbleweed Kid.
