The Tumbleweed Kid: The Lone Ranger meets Cthulhu

Shortly after finishing Red Hands, I was offered the chance to draw a weekly strip for the website Coconino World. I was enthusiastic at the prospect of doing an online comic strip, but didn’t really have a clear idea as to what I wanted to do… so I started brainstorming and filling up pages in my sketchbook. After looking back at those sketchbook pages, I noticed that there were a lot of H.P. Lovecraft horror parodies, as well as a recurring cowboy character, this scrawny gunfighter kid with freckles. I decided to mix the two ideas together and do a “Lovecraftian western” of sorts, kind of like “The Lone Ranger meets Cthulhu”.So anyway… that’s how The Tumbleweed Kid was born. I would draw and send the pages to the Coconino World studios and Pat Cab would color them with Photoshop. For those of you who don’t read French, I apologize, but if you have a French-English dictionary handy, the story should be pretty easy to follow. After all, it’s not exactly literature…
Con ustedes, The Tumbleweed Kid.

Menudo despliegue, madre mía, me quito el cráneo. Gracias por ese enlace. En mis blogs también he escrito un pequeño texto sobre el acontecimiento. Besos.
